I've been sewing but not blogging. Here's a snuggly warm little cape I made for Avalon. She's puzzled by the lack of sleeves, but seems to be enjoying wearing it. Pattern from the latest Ottobre, I think next time I make it I'll find a way to curve the shoulder darts a bit more.

lunch bag #2 for Kaia
With a side of clay covered table and Avalon eating yogurt. (Matt is making me a spoon rest in his ceramics class and has been working on it some here.) She also has a strawberry one.

bag
I have been sewing, just not blogging! I have made many pairs of pants, pjs, pillowcases, a t shirt and a dress this summer. Plus this bag. I needed something to throw things in and carry around when I'm out with the kids. If you click through to my flickr you can get a closeup of the fabric.

Still haven't finished the mushrooms
They're sitting on my table waiting for me to rethread the coverstitcher. In the mean time, I've gotten a few projects in here and there but haven't been sewing that much.
T-shirt I dyed for a friend's son.
Robot pants for the little boy I watch 2 afternoons a week.
Pre-patch that Kaia picked out of the remnant bin at Harts.
I'm trying to sell/give away enough fabric that I don't feel totally overwhelmed by my stash. Hahaha. It's really hard for me to get rid of fabric, I can always imagine some use for it even if I never get around to it.

WIP sneak peek
This is my project this week. Can I tell you how much I love this fabric? It's a japanese knit I paid way too much money for it, but I could not resist.
I'll post a finished pic when I'm done. I need to thread up the CS machine and I haaaate doing that.

Hello Kitty hoodie for Kaia, size 6 so it'll fit her for a while. Skirt is a hand me down from Rosie, originally made by Jennifer of Textile Fetish. Kaia loves it.

Sweater blanket WIP
Felted recycled wool sweaters turned into a blanket. This is only half, the finished product will be roughly 64" x 80", big enough for a twin bed. This is for my cousin JT, who turned 18 this month. I've been planning this project for a year, collected the sweaters, cut them all up a month ago and am finally piecing it together. Hopefully it will be done before winter's over.
